Derby Day!
Now comes dessert, my favorite part of every meal!
Derby Pie:
3 eggs
1/2 cup white sugar
1 cup white corn syrup
1/8 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup butter
1 cup pecans
1 cup chocolate chips
Beat the eggs, sugar, syrup, salt, vanilla, and melted butter. Add pecans and chocolate chips to unbaked pie shell. You can make a homemade pie shell or just buy a mix, or frozen one for this recipe. Pour the mixture over the pecans and chocolate chips and stir just a little bit. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes.
There you have it! Two super simple recipes to make for your next derby day, but I suggest you try these recipes even sooner. Hope you enjoy!
Just for pure cuteness here is a pic of Tristan eating these yummy hot browns, even your kids will love them!
